Etisalat announces its sponsorship of Al Awafi Festival

The Corporation's sponsorship of the festival reflects its commitment to supporting social activities that help drive the national economy.

Al Awafi Festival organized for the second continuous year is considered a pioneering initiative and established as one of the defining events in the emirate's calendar and a magnet for visitors to Ras Al Khaimah. The touristic festival has effectively turned entertainment and contributed to raising the emirate's profile as a tourist hub.

Al AWAFI Touristic Festival will include this year several activities such as horse riding , heritage and entertainment activities, sports competitions among many other activities which will entertain all citizens as well as visitors.

Speaking at Press conference to make the official announcement of the Corporation's sponsorship, Mr. Mohammed Saeed Al Qadi, General Manager of Etisalat- Ras Al Khaimah, said: "Etisalat has always been at the forefront of those contributing and sponsoring social initiatives in the country. This reflects our commitment to meeting our social responsibility to the people of the country."

Mr. Al Qadi added: "Etisalat sponsors many activities including Dubai Shopping Festival. We are sponsors for Dubai Summer Surprises, the Ramadan Festival in Sharjah, the Ajman Shopping Festival, the Power Boat Speed Racing event in Ras Al Khaimah, the Emirates Civilization Marathon and the Flower Show and Festival in Al Ain.

Cooperation Council conference, the Bowling championship in Fujairah, the Competition Tours organised by the Ministry of Education, and the Special Needs Care and Rehabilitation Center.

"As the region's communications leader and a symbol of the progress and achievements of the UAE under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and H.H. Sheikh Soud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ras Al Khaimah Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler . Etisalat has an important role to fulfil outside its corporate duties and responsibility."

Mr. Al Qadi praised the contribution of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah to Al Awafi toursitic which has helped the event become part of the image of Ras Al Khaimah.
