Marriott International selects Jordan to hold International Leadership Meetings

In its endeavor to promote the destination Jordan; Marriott International selected Jordan for this years Marriott International Leadership Meetings, which are the Marriott Middle East & Africa General Managers Meeting and the Sales & Marketing Regional Meeting.
During these meetings the participants discussed what was achieved in 2004, business plans & actions for 2005 and ways to promote the destination Jordan and the Marriott Hotels in Jordan, in addition to the distribution of awards to the outstanding hotels in terms of service, sales and other categories. After the meeting, the General Mangers and the Regional Directors had the chance to make a tour in Jordan; they visited the Jordan Valley, the Baptism Site, and Wadi Rum, where they camped for one night and experienced the true Jordanian hospitality as a step towards marketing these locations in their countries and the Marriott hotels in the Middle East and Africa.
The Directors of Sales & Marketing and the Regional Managers also had the chance to tour Jordan and do some team building activities. The participants four wheeled from the Amman Marriott Hotel to the Petra Marriott Hotel, where the meeting was held for two days, they also had the chance to visit the ancient city of Petra, had a sunset coffee break and a Bedouin lunch in Wadi Rum.
Marriott International manages three properties in Jordan, the Amman Marriott Hotel, the Petra Marriott Hotel and our newest addition, the Jordan Valley Marriott Resort & Spa.
