Some 300 million people across the Arabian Gulf, North Africa, Iran & the Levant have access to the multi-sport 17th Arabian Gulf Cup through host broadcaster Al Jazeera Sports TV which has sub-licenced the rights to 12 regional TV Stations. Charles Diab, Regional Marketing Director at QSi added, 'The extensive TV distribution inherent in this tournament combined with our innovative branding schemes at all five sporting venues, has ensured that all our sponsors, be they international Platinum's such as Toyota, Etihad Airlines or Emaar, or local brands like Midmac or Al Khateam, have received excellent promotional value in return for their support of this important event.'

The 17th Arabian Gulf Cup which opened on 10 December closes tomorrow Friday 24 December.

Qatar's successful hosting of this tournament has amply demonstrated that its impressive sports infrastructure facilities are equally matched by its management capabilities in hosting major sporting events. This will underpin the country's sporting aspirations well beyond the 2006 Games in Doha.
