Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai appoints Joseph Azmi as new Director of Sales

The 125-room Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai owned by Crown International LLC, recently announced the appointment of Egyptian Joseph Azmi, as Director of Sales.

He joins the property after working at the Sheraton Dubai Creek for over 10 years, where he started his hotel career as a Guest Service Agent in the Front Office Department.

Multi-lingual Azmi who speaks English, Arabic and French, was then given the opportunity to join the Sales Department in March 1998 as Sales Executive. He quickly moved up the career ladder and eventually reached Deputy Director of Sales for the five-star hotel.

Throughout his career, Azmi won the Employee of the Month award and shortly after, was given the prestigious Employee of the Year award, which recognized his outstanding performance throughout 1997.

His talent was once again highlighted when his team was nominated for Best Sales Team Performance in the Europe, Africa and Middle East Division during the Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide conference in Phoenix, United States.

'The Four Points by Sheraton is one of Starwood's fastest growing brands and I am thrilled to be part of it,' quotes Azmi. 'With the recent opening of the Four Points by Sheraton in Kuwait and the Four Points by Sheraton Verdun in Beirut, the brand is quickly gaining recognition in the Middle East.'

Azmi will be in charge of overseeing the Sales Department, planning the sales and marketing strategy and positioning the hotel in local, regional and international markets.


"The product is in good shape," adds Azmi, "and our aim is to provide basic 5 star services at budgeted rates. We even offer various room categories and some even include personal computers and in-room internet access."

The Four Points by Sheraton Bur Dubai located in the city`s financial belt has a total of 125 rooms equipped with IDD telephone, satellite television and internet access. Executive and Grande Deluxe rooms are also available including breakfast and a host of other privileges.
Meeting and banquet facilities can accommodate up to 450 guests and the outdoor poolside venue can accommodate up to 75 guests.
Aside from the Antique Bazaar serving North Indian specialties, the Viceroy, a colonial English pub, and the Terrace lobby lounge, the hotel offers 24 hour room service, an all-day dining restaurant The Promenade and a cave-themed night club Copacabanna.
