DUBAL issues special edition commemorative stamps to mark 25th anniversary celebrations

The stamps, bearing the images of HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum and HH Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Ruler of Dubai, will be on sale throughout the UAE during the first week of January, 2005.

"There is no better way for DUBAL to honor the exemplary leadership of HH Sheikh Rashid and HH Sheikh Maktoum than to issue special edition stamps bearing their images. And there is also no better occasion for it than the extraordinary event of DUBAL's 25th anniversary."

The stamps, bearing a stunning aerial overview of the sprawling aluminium giant's plant, appear in three denominations, at 50Fils, 275Fils and 375Fils and can be obtained at all Emirates Post branches throughout the UAE. The lithographic stamps measure at 40 X 40 millimeters, and are offered in sheets of 50 stamps. The three stamps come in two differentiating colors, in royal blue and sunshine yellow. The elegant art work was specially commissioned by Fahima Badri, a UAE national and senior corporate officer at DUBAL.

"We hope the general public will be as enthusiastic as we are by the artistic quality and graphic nature of the three types of stamps. To reach 25 years is indeed a momentous occasion and we hope that the issuance of these commemorative stamps will historically mark the tremendous development of DUBAL since its timely inception," added Mr. Mohammed Yahya.
