Julphar faces legal action

Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries, known as Julphar, faces prosecution by the UAE Ministry of Health for refusing to lower medicine prices, reported Gulf News. Officials said that Julphar had ignored repeated warnings to comply with the ruling that profit margins on drugs should be cut from 70 to 55 per cent.
