The DUBAL senior management delegation comprising Mr. Abdullah Kalban, Director of Operations, Mr. Saif Murooshid, Director, H.H. Chairman's Office and General Manager, Human Resources & Organization Effectiveness, was welcomed by Dr Doaa Fares, General Manager of the Academy, and Mr. Abdullah Al Hajji Al Falasi, Nationals Training Program Manager of the Academy. The delegation later toured the outstanding state-of-the-art training facilities at the Academy which are being used by the trainees.
Upon touring the Academy facilities, both Senior Management of DUBAL and the Academy gathered on a business lunch with the Trainees. Mr. Kalban addressed the Trainees and highlighted DUBAL's keen interest in building its Cadres of UAE Nationals and providing them the development opportunities to be able to meet with the industry's fast development on the international level. He also encouraged them to exert every effort to gain the knowledge from their programme and excel in all given subjects to enable demonstrate the role model for their other UAE National colleagues.
'The DUBAL Senior management team is delighted that our prospective staff members are in safe hands, as the Etisalat Academy has the most modern training facilities suitable for us at present,' said Mr. Murooshid. 'The meeting at Etisalat Academy gave us the necessary background on how the training was progressing. This will keep us abreast of the relevant skills required for the continuing training of our national staff. This is part of our contribution to train and help UAE nationals develop all-round skills so that they can function effectively in their jobs,' he added.
The two sides also held comprehensive exchange of ideas whereby talks focused on how best to offer the most sophisticated technical training and the benefits that will accrue to DUBAL. The discussions also covered how best to maximize future cooperation.
The visit proved beneficial to the senior management delegation as it offered an opportunity to discuss with the students the various aspects of the training, their feedback and possible areas for improvement.
This type of joint activity can only help to build and encourage our future maintenance technicians and supervisors which is the long term aim of DUBAL's Apprenticeship Programme.
Under the agreement, Etisalat Academy also provides a one-year comprehensive training program in multiple chosen subjects, to the DUBAL 23 UAE nationals with relevant high-school certificates in science and industrial divisions. These Nationals will then be allocated to various divisions within DUBAL's vast technical operations programs.
