ETA Ascon Group brings 'Corporate Sufi' Azim Jamal to Dubai
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, December 30 - 2004 at 13:13
- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Institute of Business Management (DIBM), a member of the Al Ghurair Group of educational institutions and part of the ETA Ascon Group, is bringing the world-renowned management guru, Mr. Azim Jamal to Dubai.
He is currently based in Canada and will be in Dubai on January 11th and 12th, 2005 for an elaborate workshop for Dubai based businesses at the Renaissance Hotel in Dubai. The topics that the two-day workshop will cover are: purposeful business, life amidst chaos and change, the power of faith, positive pride and not ego, and leadership.
Speaking at the introductory seminar in Dubai, Mr. Jamal stated: "Most people end their day at office with the word 'stress', because today's profession requires a lot of commitment and hard work. So, we work for long hours on tight schedules that drives us to be worn out at the end of each day. It even turns us to be less productive, unfocussed and inefficient in what we do. To tackle this challenge in today's world it is important to identify the purpose of your business and thereby out cast the deficiencies within you".
"To achieve this purpose of business, the management should understand the team's strengths and weaknesses and delegate the right job to the right member of the team. This may sound simple but nobody adopts the same principle. We need to be conscious of this cardinal fact and only then will an organization bloom and achieve utmost success. This is where the role of a leader with professionalism and profound inter-personal skills becomes vital," he added.
Mr. Arif B. Rahman, Director, ETA Ascon Group welcoming the Corporate Sufi said, "We are delighted to have Mr. Jamal amidst us and we look forward to his workshop in January. We are faced with day-to-day challenges in the corporate marketplace and through these enlightening formulas of life shared by Mr. Jamal, which sound simple, are of paramount importance to succeed in what ever we aim to achieve. We are also proud of DIBM, as they were instrumental in bringing Mr. Jamal to this side of the world".
"DIBM has conducted various training programs and has trained hundreds of employees from many companies in the last few years. Companies such as Etisalat, Dubai Civil Aviation, Dubal, Commercial Bank of Dubai, Boehringer Pharma, Al Tayer Group, Daimler Chrysler, British Steel and Panasonic Gulf FZE are some of our esteemed customers who have sponsored several of their employees to our training programmes. We aim to add further value to our customers through this workshop conducted by Mr. Jamal in January," said Mr. S.A. Basha, Asst. General Manager, HRD, ETA Ascon.
DIBM was set up five years ago and is a member of the Al Ghurair group of institutions that includes Al Ghurair University and Dubai International Institute.
