- PRESS RELEASE
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) received high appreciation from the Middle East online marketplace, Tejari, for its expanding online procurement efforts.
Tejari is the Middle East's premier online business-to-business marketplace. It enables buyers and sellers to transact and share information about a variety of goods and services via a secured Internet environment.
It also provides a single point of contact for an open and growing community of buyers and suppliers, permitting spot-purchasing and on-line auctions that enable participants' real-time access to new markets and greater cost savings.
Tejari acknowledged the 'continuous support and commitment towards procurement by efficiently and effectively utilizing' the online marketplace.
The department has achieved significant savings and boosted internal efficiency through the online procurement.
The department has enlarged the scope of its procurement online as part of its e-government strategy, mandated by the vision of His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defense Minister and DTCM Chairman.
The department's decision-makers hope to have the ability to service its advertising promotion and delegation hosting needs while travelling abroad through the Tejari marketplace in due course.
