Batelco gives business customers a big boost

Bahrain's national telecommunications company is currently the only service provider for both Local Leased Line and LanConnect, which offer high tech and high performance solutions for modern communications needs.

Batelco's LANConnect is a professionally managed service that connects Local Area Networks (LANs) at different sites. The service is based on frame relay technology, which effectively provides high performance communications between many users and locations on a single network.

The company's Local Leased Line circuit is also a managed service that offers a point-to-point dedicated communications link between two national locations. It is designed to provide national organizations with an exclusive and dedicated communication link between their offices.

"Batelco offers our customers the very latest in global communications technology and these two services have proved to be invaluable to many of our customers," says Adel Daylami, Senior Manager - Voice & Data Services at Batelco.

"These price cuts - which average out at around 25% and go up to 40%, depending on the speed required by customers - represent Batelco's commitment to ensuring the continued success and development of our customers' businesses and, hence, the Kingdom's economy," says Adel.

Batelco business customers can also benefit from additional discounts on the two connection services depending on the length of contract; a three-year contract would entitle the customer to an extra 15% reduction.

Customers who are currently paying for Local Leased Line or LANConnect services will be automatically eligible for the new reduced tariff, which will be reflected in their bills as from January 1, 2005. New customers will be offered the new lower tariff rates, effective immediately.
