British adventurer Mark Evans is canoeing the entire length of the coast of Oman to raise money for charity, as well as raise awareness of Oman's tourism potential. Evans says his most vital piece of equipment has been a Thuraya satellite phone - allowing him to keep in contact even in the most remote areas.
