Expand MENA 'Remote Connectivity' specialists launch regional office in Dubai

The Dubai Internet City (DIC) based office will employ 5 dedicated resources and will handle operations in the Middle East and North Africa region as well as Pakistan.

At a press conference attended by Asad Haque, Expand MENA managing director, David Venning, Expand Networks regional channel manager Southern Europe and the Middle East, Jacques Chammas, Mindware managing director and Antoine Aguado, Citrix managing director, Expand MENA announced the introduction of a robust channel accreditation program which has currently enrolled and trained over a dozen resellers to market and support the Expand product line.

"Within a short span of 12 months, Expand Networks has launched regional operation centers in Australia, Germany, Singapore, and South Africa, showing our commitment to providing local expertise and support," said Haque. "With the introduction of our Dubai based operations for the Middle East and North Africa region, we have the opportunity to effectively and efficiently service multinational companies from Egypt to Pakistan and from Saudi Arabia to Oman."

Expand MENA enters the Middle East technology market with strong partnerships already in hand and over five years of successful project implementations with leading enterprises. The company secured a distribution agreement with Mindware Fz, LLC, the leading distributor of Citrix solutions in the Middle East and North Africa. Under the agreement Mindware will incorporate the Expand Accelerators into its existing portfolio of solutions for remote office connectivity.

Mindware will offer over 5,000 of its value-added resellers the complete Expand product line and professional services for installation, training and technical support. "The Expand Accelerators are a complementary fit for both our server based computing and networking business units," commented Chammas from Mindware. "The Accelerators will enable our Citrix resellers to overcome network infrastructure challenges that limit Citrix deployments. With Expand we will also be able to tap into WAN management market opportunities which our other networking products have not been able to address."

Expand's Accelerators promote the widespread adoption of Citrix Metaframe solutions by increasing the number of Citrix user sessions by 4x and accelerating Citrix response times and print jobs by 400%, without making a single alteration to the existing WAN infrastructure.

The sales, technical operations and services center will work to regionally roll out Expand's remote office connectivity applications, which provide a complete framework for delivering business critical information across wide area networks (WAN) to branch offices while significantly reducing recurring bandwidth costs.
