The Bride Show Dubai 2005 heads for sell out

  • United Arab Emirates: Monday, January 10 - 2005 at 11:10
  • PRESS RELEASE

The Bride Show Dubai 2005, the Middle East's largest and most distinguished exhibition for wedding day organisers and brides-to-be, is heading for a sell out with 90 per cent of its increased floor space reserved with three months to go.

To date, over 300 exhibitors, from throughout the Middle East and Indian Sub-continent, have confirmed participation in the glittering extravaganza.

The show, to be held from 12 - 15th April at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, is organised by IIR Exhibitions which says it expects over 20,000 visitors at the event - a rise of over 60% on last year.

"This will be the biggest Bride show in the event's eight-year history with 80% more space than last year," said Charlotte Proudman, Event Manager, The Bride Show Dubai 2005.

"This is a multi-million dollar industry growing at 20% per annum. The UAE is one of the most affluent markets in the world where culturally weddings are very important and where no expense is spared. The Bride Show Dubai 2005 is now undoubtedly the largest exhibition of its kind in the region."

Such is the purchasing power of brides in the Middle East that Swarovski, the Austrian-headquartered international crystal jewellery and accessories manufacturer, has signed up as diamond sponsor of the show as well as hosts of the 'Young Designers Awards'.

"We have increased our investment in the show this year. The Bride Show Dubai 2005 is a perfect fit for us as we are able to target thousands of potential clientele and profile our brand successfully at this highly focused event," said Grace Ghunaim, Communications & CSC Manager, Swarovski.

This year's event will include 20 fashion shows from some of the region's top designers, the Class Cover Girl beauty pageant, the Swarovski young designers award as well as live demonstrations for cake decorating and ice-sculpting, hair and make up, flower arrangements, chocolate making and traditional music.

"Our aim is to cover every possible facet of the wedding day scenario from build-up, to the event itself, and the honeymoon and house-furnishing options for newly-weds," added Proudman.

The Bride Show 2005 is endorsed by the Dubai Ladies Club and Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Diamond sponsors include Swarovski, Abu Haleeqa, Eternity Jewellery, Moora Beauty Salon, Al Boom Tourist Village, Hafeet Gardens and Light House Stage Design. Gold sponsors are National Bank of Abu Dhabi, Shattaf Jewellers and Awad Al Qubaisi.
