DTCM review Dubai hotel occupancy levels in season

The Director General of Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), Mr. Khalid A bin Sulayem, visited selected hotels in Dubai as part of the continuing efforts to further strengthen cooperation between the department and the emirate's booming tourism industry and raise the quality standards and services offered to the visitors.

The DTCM Director Operations and Marketing, Mr. Mohammed Khamis bin Hareb, accompanied him during the visit.

Mr. bin Sulayem inspected the landmark properties and enquired about their occupancy levels and their preparations to meet the rush in the days ahead.

He also exchanged views and elicited their feedback on the market trends and future growth prospects.

The department maintains a pro-active policy of cooperation and support with the hospitality industry and has been very receptive to the suggestions put across by the industry key players at the hotel and hotel apartment group meetings held periodically at the DTCM Head Office.

Dubai hotels and hotel apartments, numbering about 371, have been reporting impressive occupancy levels since the start of the tourist season.

Mr. bin Sulayem underscored the need for ensuring highest quality standards in the tourism industry taking into account the global confidence that Dubai enjoys.
