In the second promotion "Pick up and Delivery", Emirates Post is offering a special deal exclusively for visitors at Global Village. The service will be available for an extended period from January 12 to March 31, 2005.

"On the 10th anniversary of Dubai Shopping Festival, Emirates Post is pleased to offer residents and visitors an attractive incentive to send gifts to their loved ones all over the world," said Mr. Salem Al Shaya, Assistant Director General, Operations Affairs, Emirates Post. "As DSF offers some of the best shopping bargains in the world, Emirates Post would like to enhance the value of this event by reducing the parcel dispatch charges."

"We are delighted to be a partner of the new Global Village which offers attractive discounts on genuine products from all over the world," said Mr. Abdullah Al Fan, Assistant Director General, Development & Marketing Affairs, Emirates Post. "This year, Global Village has been shifted to a bigger location on Emirates Road, offering shoppers a larger variety of products. By opening parcel booking and dispatch points at the Global Village, Emirates Post is providing added convenience to our valued customers so that they do not have to travel far to send parcels."

The two Global Village outlets will continue to offer the discounted rates even after the promotion ends in the post offices. The discount on local deliveries will be up to 50 per cent, depending on the weight of the parcel, while international parcels will continue to get 15 per cent discount until March 31, 2005.
