Fastlink launches wide-scale campaign on the 10th anniversary of its establishment

In celebration of the advent of the New Year, which marks the 10th anniversary since the establishment of Fastlink, the Company chose to attest its dedication to providing its customers- now reaching over 1.1 million- with the highest level of services at affordable prices, by launching a wide range of new services.
Saqer added that Fastlink has recorded a unique success story, which drew wide attention and became an exemplary in the region, and this has always been an incentive for the Company to exert more efforts in order to meet the high expectations of customers.
"Fastlink is determined to continue the march with hard work and dedication so as to meet customers' satisfaction," said Saqer, adding that on the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Company has prepared a wide range of services, which will be launched in the course of the year. Those services include some of the latest in the cellular phone industry as it enters a new age. All these services, he pointed out, will be in line with Fastlink's strategy of continuing to play a pivotal role in the development of the communications sector in both Jordan and the region.
The campaign highlights Fastlink's achievements since the year it was founded and focuses on the vital role that both customers and staff played in maintaining a superior quality service.
As part of the Company's commitment towards society, said Saqer, Fastlink has set up a number of developmental and societal projects and has supported and sponsored numerous activities in the social, cultural, youth and sports sectors. The Company has also made substantial contributions to major health projects and other charitable activities, which are carried out throughout the year. Furthermore, the current year will also see many new initiatives that serve the public interest, Saqer added.
Saqer said staff members have all played a major role in asserting the status of Fastlink in the Middle East as the ultimate choice for one million Jordanians who continue to express their confidence in the company and its services.
The Jordanian Telecommunications and information technology sector was able to make major progress during the past years thanks to the continued support of His Majesty King Abdullah II and his vision, which sees Jordan as a country with potential to become an ICT hub for the area, having led the way among other countries to open the door for the private sector to assume a leading role in the socioeconomic development of the country.
The new year also marks the liberalization of the communications market in Jordan and the introduction of new competitors who will be offering a wide range of new services.
"We look forward to the days ahead so as to continue to play a central role in providing the latest communications technologies and to bring to the country the necessary infrastructure that will help achieve the aspirations of people and turn Jordan into a ICT hub for the region," said Saqer, adding that "success only pushes the Company to exert further efforts to assume its role in the comprehensive development of the Kingdom."
Saqer said that since its establishment, Fastlink has laid down sustainable principles for the cellular phone industry and for building a technology-based economy at a time of fast paced developments in this sector, all of which worked to bring Fastlink to the limelight as one of the leading companies that absorbs and utilizes modern technologies both in Jordan and the region.
Fastlink subscribers now total 1.1 million, with the service reaching all sectors of society in an unprecedented record time. Fastlink was the first to introduce WAP, GPRS and MMS, and led the way in applying e-banking and other innovative services. Fastlink network covers 99.0% of Jordan's populated areas and provides service to more than 1500 cellular stations in various parts of the world.
