Batelco announces end to trial of international phonecard

Batelco is announcing the conclusion to a 3-month trial of its 123 CALL card, which was started in October of last year and enabled customers to make low-cost international telephone calls to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and The Philippines.
"We were delighted to offer this low cost and convenient trial service to our customers," says, Adel Aldailami, Batelco senior manager - data and voice services. "Initial evidence suggests that the trial was popular with customers and we are now working towards launching 123 CALL as a permanent service."
In the meantime, 123 CALL cards that are still available in the market can still be used but will be charged at normal rates for both national and international calls, as with existing Prepaid Calling Cards.
