Tranquility Spa embraces the Wellbeing Show

'When we learnt about the Wellbeing Show, we felt the show resonated the essence of Tranquility. The wellness aspects listed in its brochure matched 99 per cent with Tranquility's key objective of providing holistic wellness services, starting from A for Aromatherapy, Ayurveda and Anti-aging to Y for Yoga, and everything in between,' explained Renu Gidoomal, head of Landmark Group's Natural Health Division and general manager of the newly opened Tranquility Spa.

Tranquility Spa, located on the ground level of the Oasis Center on Sheikh Zayed Road, will showcase its key services including Ayurveda and Homeopathy at its 18 square metres stand number 27 in the Wellbeing Show. It will also display some of its retail items relating to aromatherapy, baby health, therapeutic music, stress-busting therapies and crystals.

Renu, who started her career in alternative healing at the prestigious Hale Clinic in London two decades ago pointed out, 'The Wellbeing Show comes at a most appropriate time as people in the UAE are becoming increasingly aware of the need for natural healing through holistic wellness therapies that combine the mind, body and soul.' Renu's education and work experience is steeped in alternative therapies and holistic healing, and Tranquility is her dream project. 'At Tranquility, we strongly feel that wellness is all about empowerment, which allows every individual to tap his or her tremendous internal power to heal and feel fit from within,' she added.

Renu, an eloquent speaker in her own right, will be making a formal address on floatation therapy and its harmonious effects on the mind and body during the Wellbeing Show. Additionally, Tranquility's Department of Health approved Ayurveda therapist Varsha Naik (B.A.M.S.) will hold a talk on Ayurveda, the ancient 'science of life'. The Body Balance team at Tranquility will give a demonstration of their unique workout which combines Yoga, Pilates and T'ai Chi postures. Mala Jham, a well-known healer based in Dubai will enlighten the audience how to experience joy and energy through her talks on 'Manifesting Joy and Abundance' and 'The Seven Different Systems of Reiki'.

Tranquility Spa will also hold a special Jin Shin Jyutsu (JSJ) workshop for parents of special needs children. JSJ expert Sudha Madhuri Devi will provide practical tips on how parents can support their children in their self healing process during this special two hour session. Sudha has been working with children suffering from Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis at Sharjah City for Humanitarian Services since 2002. Using JSJ healing techniques, she has successfully unlocked the pent up energy blocked within these children, bringing harmony to their body, mind and spirit. A similar JSJ workshop will be conducted in Arabic by Samar Ajami Ballout, who is known for her intense knowledge in this specialised area of healing.

Beauty expert Ruksher Malik, who has worked with the likes of Nicky Clarke in London and had her training from Complections International, will introduce a Seaweed Facial demonstration using famed Repêchage's seaweed facial products. Ruksher heads the Beauty salon at Tranquility.
