Kuwait oil revenues up 37.5pc

Kuwait recorded a 37.5 per cent increase in oil revenues for the first eight months of the 2004 to 2005 fiscal year, following high oil prices and increased production quotas, according to a National Bank of Kuwait report. Kuwait's crude oil production was up 6 per cent to 2.4 mbd and its oil fetched an average USD34.20 per barrel, much higher than the USD15 per barrel and 2 mbd used for its budget projections.
