  • PRESS RELEASE

Dubai Airport is all decked up to gear its guests into the spirit of festivity and shopping just as they arrive.

The Civil Aviation Department in coordination with the DSF office has set up their banners and batons to bring to the premises a feel of the carnival around town.

"This year the branding for the airport has been in keeping with the theme of the grandness of this milestone 10th year DSF celebrations. We believe that the first impression that our guests receive here shall help them slip right into the picture and feel one with the happenings around," said Masood Saleh, Member of Dubai International Airport Committee. "Not a single area has been left untouched - the transit, pedestrian area, the immigration area, the lugged weight area and check in area, care rental area and duty free have all come alive to mark the marvel," he added.

"A hospitality team welcomes the tourists with a taste of traditional delights and offerings. Huge screens displaying the DSF advertisement have been prominently placed in high traffic areas like the car rental area where people can soak in the atmosphere as they carry on.

Throughout the airport brochures to promote the festival and its activities are being distributed. A large and eye catching advertising arch has been put up just before the immigration desk giving the visitors a sense of entering a world of shopping, a world of fun and laughter.

The Dubai Shopping Festival 2005 runs between January 12 and February 12, 2005.
