SAHM Technologies launches regional expansion plans

Sahm Technologies, the IT arm of EMAAR Group, today kicked off a business expansion strategy that takes the company's technology and communication services to private and public sector organizations in the GCC market.
Arvind Bhatnagar, CEO of Sahm Technologies, said: " We now have one of the most experienced team in the region, a portfolio of technology products and services, as well as an IT infrastructure that allows us bring our capabilities for the benefit of organizations outside the group." He continued:" The move comes as a result of our significant growth over the last few years. We are at a stage where our unique solutions, skilled resources and world-class infrastructure are qualified to service corporate markets in the region."
Sahm is providing the voice, data and video services on one of the largest IP networks in the world. The company realized Emaar's vision of building the world's largest "Intelligent City" by deploying a state-of-the-art Internet Protocol (IP) network to service residents and business entities located within the EMAAR territories. Over this broadband network Sahm has started delivering exciting new services that encompass voice, data, video and smart home solutions that are making the concept of "Intelligent living" a reality.
Sahm is also responsible for providing the end-to-end IT management services to various businesses including Dubai Bank, Amlak Finance, EMAAR PJSC and EMRILL.
Bhatnagar explained:" we have invested in a robust infrastructure that today allows it to extend it to external organizations in the region. For the last two years, our data center and call center have been successfully servicing the customer support, hosting and management of the Emaar group of companies business. Today, we are making this platform available for businesses across the region to benefit from. We are one of the very few organizations in the region that not only have a top level infrastructure, but also the competencies to manage it and support businesses in their operations."
Along with extending its technology infrastructure to organizations outside the group, Sahm will be expanding its technology alliances with global as well as local partners. The company has finalized a regional agreement with WIPRO Technologies to deliver 24/7, onshore and offshore-managed services for Oracle ERP customers in the region. Bhatnagar said: "Through our alliance with WIPRO, we bring to Oracle ERP customers in the region after sales support, implementation support and a consistent and round the clock management of their IT platform. From our Oracle e-sustenance center based in Dubai, we have remote access and management capability to service any IT infrastructure in the region. On top of that, various business and implementation models are being offered to customers, to take varied support needs into consideration. This creates great value especially for medium sized organizations who do not have enough resources to really manage and create the ROI desired from ERP implementations."
Sahm will also be investing in building strong technology alliances as well as awareness and trust in the Sahm brand in the Gulf countries. By expanding the breadth and depth of technology alliances with recognized global technology providers, Sahm's corporate IT services aims at expanding its technology portfolio to address the diverse needs of the region's organizations. Sahm is also extending its investment in a robust, proven communication and IT infrastructure management assets to external organizations, helping them optimize their investment in technology that drives business growth and competitiveness.
Bhatnagar explained that Sahm's adherence to global standards in technology services which ensures consistent delivery of high quality service levels to customers is a strong differentiator for Sahm and a serious pre-requisite for the growth of the Middle East IT market.
