  • PRESS RELEASE

DriveArabia.com, the Middle East's newest automotive website, attended the 2005 Dubai Shopping Festival's Classic Car Parade, providing online coverage of the event.

Held on Friday the 14th of January 2005, the annual parade has become a major attraction of the DSF festivities.

This year saw some of the rarest cars in the world coming together on the streets of Dubai. Everything from pre-WW2 classics to 1980s luxury cars graced the lineup. Notable cars included the old Mini Cooper, a third-generation Chevy Corvette, a boxy Aston Martin Lagonda, an early model Porsche 356 roadster, a first-generation Ford Mustang, an old Nissan Skyline and a host of Mercedes Benz models from different eras.

Organised by the Emirates Motor Sports Federation, with support vehicles from Volkswagen, the parade was escorted around the city by Dubai police. DriveArabia.com is the only automotive website in the region to cover the event in photographic detail.
