Emirates flies in global artists for Emaar International Art Symposium

Organisers of the Emaar International Art Symposium today announced that Emirates would once again be the official carrier for the event which began on January 12.

The event will conclude on February 7, 2005.

As part of its commitment, Emirates will fly in sculptors and painters from more than 50 countries to Dubai to participate in the region's acclaimed creative art forum which forms part of the 10th Dubai Shopping Festival.

Emirates flies to almost all countries where the participating artists reside and the award winning airline hopes to provide the Dubai experience much before the creative visitors touch down at the Dubai International Airport.

The artists will vie for honours and a total prize purse of USD 90,000. The sculpting competition, with 40 entries, has already begun from January 12 in a specially created area next to the Dubai World Trade Centre and will conclude on - February 7. The painting event, with 30 participants, will take place at the Dubai Marina Promenade and Al Rigga street from January 24 to February 7.
