'Superbrand' status for Jacky's

The UAE Superbrands Council, a ten-member group made up of eminent figures from the world of branding, awarded Jacky's the sought-after 'Superbrand' status after comprehensive evaluation.

Jacky's was one of over 60 brands in the UAE to receive 'Superbrand' status, edging out more than 700 others that were also reviewed. Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer, Jacky's Electronics, said that recognition from the Superbrand Council was positive reinforcement that Jacky's had successfully reached its target audience.

"Steady sales increases, with higher seasonal jumps - for example, during GITEX or DSF, clearly shows that Jacky's is a brand that shoppers look for and trust. This acknowledgement, by reputed brand analysts, is a validation of all our efforts, and we are very pleased to receive it," he said.

Jacky's, which started as a Hong Kong-based mail order business in 1970, set up its first office in the UAE in 1985 at Dubai's Al Nasr Square. In just over three decades since its founding, Jacky's has become one of the UAE's foremost retailers, with a reputation for reliability and quality.

Today the Jacky's group's interests extend to wholesale import and export, logistics, distribution and internet services. New business units have been launched to manage new ventures including office automation, digital printing, security products, home appliances and e-commerce.
