For the period starting at 9pm Tuesday, January 18, 2005 to 7am Monday, January 24, 2005 the off-peak calling rate will apply to all long distance calls.
The price reduction reflects Etisalat's commitment to meeting the calling requirements of subscribers. Statutory holidays are always popular times for residents of the UAE to be in touch with friends and relatives inside and outside the country.
"Calling rates continue to come down as Etisalat negotiates lower tariffs with countries around the world," said Ahmed Bin Ali, Manager, Public Relations. "This is a trend that consumers have come to count on from their telecoms company and will continue to appreciate in the future."
