AIR MILES achieves 100 million milestone at Lamcy Plaza during DSF since commencement of joint promotion in January 2003

AIR MILES, one of the world's most popular loyalty programmes announced that Lamcy Plaza had issued a record 100 million Air Miles to it's shoppers since joining the programme in January 2003, highlighting the success of this unique joint offer.

To celebrate the achievement of this significant target and in keeping with the spirit of the festival season, the lucky member, whose purchase brought the Lamcy figure to 100 million Air Miles, received a surprise bonus of 20,000 Air Miles and a grand voucher from Lamcy Plaza.

Under this offer at Lamcy, for every Dirham spent at any of the retail outlets in the mall, shoppers earn one Air Mile, giving them an opportunity to collect thousands of Air Miles, which can be redeemed for many fabulous rewards. These include free travel and accommodation at a variety of locations, electronic items, gold and jewellery, toys and gift vouchers.

Commenting on the joint promotion with Lamcy Plaza, Mr Nick Dutt, Chief Operating Officer, AIR MILES said, "We are delighted that Lamcy Plaza, the only mall in Dubai associated with our loyalty programme, has reached the One Hundred Million Air Miles issued mark. This huge figure has been reached in the relatively short period of only two years and coinciding with this year's DSF, reflects the immense popularity of the programme and the offer."

"The constantly increasing figures are very encouraging, further strengthening our goal of being the preferred loyalty programme. We look forward to continuing this relationship and with renewed vigour will meet our goal of doubling that figure in the near future," he added.

The programme has recorded a 75% increase in the number of new members registering at Lamcy Plaza in 2004 over the previous year, the number of redemptions of Air Miles over the same period increased threefold and Air Miles collected at the mall has jumped by over 43%. Lamcy Plaza is currently the only mall in Dubai where Air Miles can be earned against purchases made in any of its retail outlets.

Commenting on successfully achievement of issuing 100 million Air Miles, Tim Jones, General Manager, Lamcy Plaza said, "It has been our ongoing commitment at the mall to provide our customers with the finest services.
