- PRESS RELEASE
Emirates, the Official Carrier and a key sponsor of the Dubai Shopping Festival since the inception of the 10-year old event, is offering unbeatable value-for-money holiday packages to the thousands of visitors eager to visit the city during the 32-day carnival.
The three-night holiday packages are carefully designed to provide an affordable, hassle-free and comfortable stay, ensuring visitors can get down to business - enjoying the festival's hotspots and entertainment, winning fabulous draws and offers, and shopping.
Customers receive a special 10 per cent discount on hotel room tariff, for booking and buying packages online at www.emirates.com.
Visitors can choose from a range of 24 select city and beachfront hotel properties, including the Mina A'Salam, Al Qasr, The Jumeirah Beach Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton.
From the moment they arrive at the Dubai International Airport, visitors experience Emirates' legendary Arabian hospitality. They are greeted by personalised meet-and-assist services, receive a welcome pack and arrive at their hotels in chauffeur-driven cars.
During their stay, visitors can access the Emirates Holidays hotline that provides 24-hour Emergency Assistance. And if they cannot get enough of the DSF, they may extend their stay at special rates. When they leave the city with suitcases packed with bargains, each visitor will receive an additional 10 kilos of free baggage allowance.
The special offers are valid for the entire period of the festival, which will last until 12th February, and are available to all classes of travel by Emirates via Dubai, both on the inbound and outbound legs of their journeys.
Hamad Obaidalla, Emirates' Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Gulf, Middle East & Iran said: "Emirates' status as the Official Carrier and a key sponsor of the DSF underscores our support for the Dubai government's tourism initiatives. Our special holiday packages have been carefully designed to satisfy the needs of our international customers and offer a range of prices, properties and comforts.
"We are delighted that the DSF is recognised as one of the most successful tourism promotions of all time and that we have contributed to its success every year for a decade."
As the city becomes an entertainment and shopping magnet for travellers from around the world, Emirates is promoting the festival globally with a full-scale above- and below-the-line advertising campaign. In addition, the airline's fleet is sporting the DSF logo on its tails, helping spread the message across its network that now spans 78 destinations in 55 countries.
