Arab travellers pledge return to Lake Geneva
- United Arab Emirates: Sunday, January 23 - 2005 at 10:39
- PRESS RELEASE
Arab travellers are expected to descend in large numbers on the Lake Geneva Region this spring and summer according to Azouz Masrouki, Middle East Consultant at the Beau-Rivage Palace, a top hotel in the Swiss lakeside resort of Lausanne.
"The Lake Geneva region has always been top of the list with Arab travellers looking for a sophisticated summer destination but last year we did see a decline as these travellers opted to holiday closer to home", said Masrouki. "But now I think people are ready to return to Switzerland as they know that this is the place to come for a wonderful summer climate, outstanding accommodation and service and easy access to some of the world's best schools and clinics".
The Beau-Rivage Palace provides Middle East guests with comprehensive advice and guidance on the educational and medical facilities for which Switzerland is renowned.
"Many Middle East families are attracted by the Swiss reputation for excellence in education and health care, but they don't always know where to turn to for advice," said Masrouki. "Over the last few years, we've developed strong links with many of the most distinguished private schools and health clinics in the Lake Geneva region, and can offer our guests very discreet assistance in these matters. Parents who want to discuss their needs in private education, health care and beauty treatment will find we have a wealth of information to pass on."
"We have always been very mindful of the specific needs of our Muslim and Middle Eastern guests and have put in place a number of services and facilities that meet these needs. This, along with our marketing efforts in the region, has helped us to establish the hotel as a trusted base for many Arabic families looking to meet their medical and scholarly needs", he continued.
The hotel is also responding to a growing interest in combining a stay in Lausanne with a trip to the mountains for both skiing during the winter months and a change of scenery during the summer. For the past year the hotel has been making arrangements for interested guests to visit the Mont Cervin Palace and the Riffelalp Resort 2,222, both part of the Seiler Hotels group, in the popular up-market ski resort of Zermatt.
Well-established as a discrete getaway destination, the Beau-Rivage Palace is a perfect base for those eager to explore the Lake Geneva region, one of the most picturesque parts of Switzerland, and is also a superb conference and incentive venue at the crossroads of Europe, between France, Germany and Italy.
With a private ten-acre park, inter-connected spacious rooms, a unique swimming pool, split between indoors and out, and baby-sitting services available on request.
Day trips by steam boat on Lake Geneva are another relaxing family attraction, and Euro Disney in Paris is only a three-hour train journey away through breathtaking countryside.
