- PRESS RELEASE
Microtech, the leading manufacturer of business applications in the Middle East announced today that it will use its participation in Cairo ICT 2005 to increase market awareness about the advanced features of its flagship product 'Microtech Infinity ERP' in Egypt.
The system consists of seven main solutions: Financials, Logistics, Retail, Manufacturing, Merchandizing, Human Resources, and Enterprise Resource Management (ERM). Each solution consists of several modules. Using the open system architecture, any module can be interfaced or detached whenever required without affecting the other modules, according to business requirements. It supports connectivity to third party add-ons through special APIs as well.
'Localization differentiates Microtech Infinity from other global ERP vendors', said Tamer Maher, Vice President Business Development. 'Regional organizations need to use ERP software that reflects the accounting, Human resources and legal requirements of the countries they operate in, Microtech Infinity ERP provides country-specific functionality in areas such as payroll and tax. Businesses in each country do things differently and it is important to take this into consideration. Localization and is one of the key selling points for our solutions.
'Microtech Infinity™ stresses the advantage of moderate total cost of ownership'. To ensure the client's maximum return on investment, Microtech provides free pre-sale consultation on which services and products would be required to ensure a successful fault-free operation. Our technical consultants work with the client to study available resources and business goals and suggest a plan, which will provide the maximum benefit.
'Companies buy multi-million dollar software packages only to find out that they don't work—or at least don't work well—for one/some of their key business processes.' The business processes (functional processes) in any organization indicate different control points and procedures, data flow, documents, and reporting. Since such processes serve the organization purpose or objective, they are the critical mapping criterion that any automated system should serve. Microtech enables its customers to identify such processes by interviews and research techniques to ensure that all functional managers in an organizational unit agree as to what business processes exist, said Maher.
'An ERP system that demands a three-year rollout won't help much if you need quick impact, the short implementation cycle of Microtech Infinity™ ERP gives us a competitive edge over our global ERP counterparts. Microtech keeps on board a qualified team of professionals to assist customer management and operations levels in designing data models, workflow, business documents cycle, coding systems, and logistics procedures for maximum benefit of information technology and automation of their business processes, using our products as well as other IT components. Microtech's team will ensure management obtains required outputs from the system and will not end its service until operation is running smoothly and accurately,' concluded Maher.
