The festivities will be held from 11:00am to 1.00pm at UOWD's new Knowledge Village campus.
The Aussie Day celebrations include a friendly cricket match followed by a typical Aussie 'barbie' lunch with music and dance. The programme also offers prospective students and their parents an opportunity to tour the university's facilities and speak to staff about courses and career prospects after graduation.
"The Aussie Style celebrations are open to all. The event is also an opportunity for people to get to know us, and to get a feel of the environment at University of Wollongong," said Jay Jayatilaka, Marketing and External Relations Manager.
UOWD is the first Australian university in Dubai to be licensed by the UAE Ministry of Education. The university aims to provide an enhanced 'education experience' to students through innovative, interactive teaching, and research excellence. From modest beginnings in 1993, UOWD has seen student levels grow to approximately 1,700.
The Aussie Day festivities will be held at the University of Wollongong campus at Knowledge Village, Block 15.
