  • PRESS RELEASE

Standard Chartered Bank has opened a new branch at Dubai Internet City (DIC) in the first week of January this year to offer full range of banking services to the growing business and residential community in the area.

The new branch at the DIC will be in Building Number Six at DIC, close to the main entry from Sheikh Zayed Road.

Ray Ferguson, Chief Executive, Standard Chartered UAE, said: "At Standard Chartered we are completely customer focused and committed to leading the way in providing a full range of banking services at their doorstep.

"There are now more than 2,000 businesses operating in DIC and the surrounding area has a growing population in residential developments including The Meadows, The Lakes and The Marina.

"As one of the UAE's leading international banks we believe in operating a network that serves our customers in the most convenient way possible.

"Banking services in the area are limited; we aim to change that by offering a full range of personal and corporate banking services at a customer focused branch."

The branch, in close proximity to DIC's restaurants and parks, will remain open from 8am until 3.30pm Saturday to Wednesday and from 8am to 2pm on Thursdays, with 24 hour automated banking services available.

Personal banking services include auto loans, credit cards, investment and wealth management services and personal loans while trade finance, cash management and security services will be offered to corporate customers.

"The opening of a new branch at the start of 2005 is a testimony to the Bank's performance in 2004," added Ferguson.

"It is also a demonstration of our commitment to be 'The Right Partner, Leading By Example' to our customers - providing banking services where they are needed most."
