Weaving exhibition keeping alive rich traditions

As part of its endeavors to keep the rich traditions of the past alive and to give the current generation and the visitors a taste of its rich culture and heritage, the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is holding an exhibition on Traditional Weaving from tomorrow (January 26).

The exhibition, being held for the second consecutive year, will see the participation from a Kuwaiti group who will showcase the traditional methods of weaving.

In addition, they will be combining the traditional methods with the modern to cater to the modern influences while retaining the rich traditions.

Visitors will not only be able to see and buy samples of the weaved products, but will also be able to take part in the live workshops.

Being held at the Heritage & Diving Village at the Grand Hall No 4, the event will take place from 5 pm to 10 pm and will continue till the end of the DSF-2005.
