Kamran will be responsible for expediting growth in the region by strengthening Tech Access' relationships with channel partners and further developing Sun's regional channel network. He brings to this role the expertise he earned while creating and managing service channels in the United Kingdom and across the wider EMEA community for one of the world's largest hardware technology manufacturers.
'Kamran's appointment comes at a time when we have seen considerable growth and opportunity for Tech Access, Sun, and our growing community of partners. I am certain that his varied experience and expertise will enable him to successfully manage the development of Sun's channel by aiming for the seamless alignment of key vertical segments with Sun's business development managers to further strengthen Sun's market share in the region,' said Shomail Ghalib, managing director, Tech Access.
'As the Tech Access Solutions Center steadily becomes a key resource for technology-focused, progressive businesses in the Middle East, Kamran will also play a key role in raising the profile of this important regional business resource,' he added.
The region's only Sun Authorised iForce Ready Center, the Tech Access Solutions Centre enables a wide variety of companies to assess the value of different business and evaluate the potential return on investment of their planned technology projects. Potential and existing customers can test new solution modules, develop proof-of-concept studies for their companies' business objectives, train internal IT teams, and refine applications at the centre.
'In my capacity as general manager-channel sales, my main aim is to inject energy into the channel and stress the value of Tech Access to partners. The key role that we play in the development and implementation of solutions, and the importance of the ongoing technical support we provide, needs to be effectively highlighted and I plan to focus all my energies into making sure that this result is achieved,' said Hussain, commenting on his new role.
After completing his MBA from the prestigious Kingston Business School, Kamran worked at a number of leading technology firms in the UK. Prior to joining Tech Access, he was the global head of IT at a multinational law firm based in London. Having sourced and developed excellent relationships with global hardware suppliers, Kamran was responsible for defining commercial and operational objectives, and advising on all technology issues related to the firm's knowledge management strategy.
