Exact Software strengthens Middle East operations

  • United Arab Emirates: Thursday, January 27 - 2005 at 12:46
  • PRESS RELEASE

Exact Software Middle East, currently undergoing an 18-month program of regional expansion, has announced the appointment of a dedicated country manager for the United Arab Emirates.

The enterprise resource planning software vendor, which plans to open six new offices across the Middle East, has named Nilesh Jain as head of its UAE office, while Nizar Badwan will now direct Exact Software's business in the region.

Since announcing its intention to establish a network of offices in the Middle East, Exact Software has launched operations in Kuwait, and plans for an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, are close to completion, with a presence in Qatar to follow.

"This is the latest move in a planned campaign that is designed to secure Exact Software's position as a leading provider of ERP solutions for businesses across the Middle East," said Badwan.

"Feedback from our customers has shown that they like our direct sales and support approach, and in order to fulfill their needs, it is necessary to have a network of offices staffed by experienced professionals."

Jain has ten years experience in the IT industry, seven of them based in the Emirates. Prior to being appointed as UAE country manager, he worked as Exact Software's consultancy manager, overseeing project implementations, for businesses across the country.

In his new role, Jain will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in the UAE, as well as continuing to manage software implementations, support and training for Exact's customers in the country.

Badwan will concentrate his efforts on driving Exact Software's regional expansion plans, and will also build the company's customer base across the Middle East.

"The Middle East is a key market for Exact Software, so to capitalize on the growing demand for ERP solutions across the region, we wanted to increase our presence in key countries to better service the needs of new and existing customers," said Badwan.

Exact Software is set to establish offices in Oman, the Levant and Egypt, as part of its drive to make the Middle East one of the company's four key global pillars of their business.
