Earlier this year, CA announced the launch of direct operations in the Arab region. CA's direct presence - compared with its previous engagement solely through partners - signals a clear change in the company's strategy towards Arab countries. The company has established its regional headquarters in Dubai Internet City in the UAE, and is currently finalizing the setup of offices at key locations throughout the region.

Ned Jaroudi, regional marketing director for CA in the Arab countries said: "We have immediate priorities at CA for the foreseen future, all of which are there to help us build a strong presence to allow us to service our existing customers better as well as expand our revenues. Our immediate priority is to build trust in the CA brand in the Arab World through building a strong presence and qualified channel of partners." He continued:" To that end, we are already investing in market awareness campaigns and this requires partnering with established marketing partners such as UM7."

CA has recently launched its website for the Arab world. The company has also been hiring Arab nationals with high qualifications and a deep understanding of the market and is on the verge of officially opening its regional call center based in Lebanon.
