Final festive family day revelry brings to a close DUBAL's unprecedented 25th anniversary celebrations

'It is indeed very fitting that we, at DUBAL, should close this extraordinary chapter in our illustrious history by having a family day dedicated solely to fun and festivities. I can tell you that, throughout the day, the atmosphere at the plant was terrific. With more than 5,000 people invited, we organized our program, so that there would be various activities with the specific intention of appealing to the young and old alike. For that single day, the plant resembled a colorful, bustling theme park with simultaneous activities staged all over DUBAL,' said Mr. Saif Murooshid, General Manager, Human Resources, DUBAL.

The events were both wide-ranging and spectacular. They included live performances respectively from the Dubai Police and the Vee3 bands, and a grand raffle draw. The renowned illusionists from the UK, the Guy Barrett Illusion Show, thrilled audiences with their magic renditions, whilst expert Chinese martial artists, Fist of the Dragon Wushu and Qigong, wowed spectators with their incredible feats of power and endurance. A grand raffle draw brought excitement to the assembled invitees and for the more daring, there was a chance to try out the bungee jumping trampolines. Also, a wide assortment of food was on offer to suit various palettes throughout, between 2 pm and 10 pm.

Also featured was an international dance troupe and a yoga demonstration from DUBAL's own yoga club. The U.A.Q Aero club Parachutists made a spectacular jump over DUBAL, whilst the Dubai Police Dog Handlers impressed the audiences with their fantastic and inventive display of prowess. There were also numerous speech ceremonies and several prize giving events, followed by a cricket match and a tug-of-war contest. Finally, well into the night, a spectacular display of fireworks light up the dark and brought to a close a memorable day of festivity and fun.

'The most popular and interesting of all the various activities were the ones dedicated for the enjoyment of the many children who attended DUBAL's family day. Amongst other attractions, there featured camel and pony rides, a rodeo bull ring, amusement park game stalls and contests involving balloon releasing. Also, along with more than twelve inflatable bouncy castles, there was a colorful selection of circus clowns, mime artists, stilt walkers and an array of cartoon figures that were a big hit with the youngsters. With the outstanding success of our family day events, it brings to a triumphant close this most important month of celebrations for DUBAL.'
