DCCI receives invitation to participate in China- Arab Business Conference in Beijing

Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) received an official invitation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CPIT) to participate in the China- Arab Business Conference, set to be held in Beijing during the period April 12th - 13th 2005, under the supervision of CPIT in cooperation of the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Mr. Abdulrahman Ghanem Al Mutaiwee, Director-General of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry welcomed a delegation of CPIT, headed by Dr. Zhang Wei, Vice-President, in the presence of Deputy Director, Division of Asian, African and Japanese Affairs in the Council, at DCCI headquarters, on Wednesday.
Mr. Chen Men from the delegation, mentioned that 500 V.I.P governmental and private sector personalities, including the top officials of the Chambers of Commerce, are expected to participate in the Conference, pursuing to present the governmental policies related to boost the economic and commercial cooperation between China and Arab world.
The meeting also tackled the ways of enhancing the levels of interaction between business communities in China and Dubai along with the issues of mutual concern. Mr. Mutaiwee expressed his aspirations to see more Chinese trade activities in Dubai and through Dubai to the whole region.
Under the title "China Vision SME, LP", tThe Chinese delegation gave a briefing on the Chinese expertise in the field of establishing and developing the small & medium size enterprises (SME), funded by a specific fFund, which was launched a few months ago with the aim of providing financial and credit facilities to those enterprises in, and out of China.
The China-Arab Cooperation Forum was mutually established in January 2004, during the visit of the Chinese President to the headquarters of Arab League in Cairo. It's a new mechanism of group dialogue and cooperation between Arabs and China.
The Fund is an Exempted Limited Partnership established under Exempted Limited Partnership Act, 1995(the "ELP Act") of the commonwealth of Bahamas on October 15th, 2004. The Fund is offering US$ 200 million of limited partnership interests to institutions and individual investors who share the vision of China's rise as a growth economy in the world.
