Due to take place 24-26 February 2005 at the Madinat Arena, Home Owner Dubai has seen unprecedented growth since it's inauguration in 2003. "We have seen the exhibition double in size each time we run the show" said Simon O'Herlihy, General Manager of Marketing, Motivate Events. "The property market is booming in Dubai at the moment and Home Owner Dubai reflects the demand for property from the expat and indigenous population".

"When we launched Home owner Dubai in 2003 there was a lot of uncertainty in the market and the event provided a forum in which to investigate every aspect of buying real estate in the UAE", continued O'Herlihy. "As construction continues at an almost alarming pace in Dubai any fears that were apparent in the early days have now been dispelled. As a result the emphasis of the event has moved to providing a one-stop-event for potential buyers and investors who want to become a part of the fastest growing sectors in the region".

O'Herlihy sees no slackening of demand. "In addition to local buyers, we are seeing buyers attending the event from abroad in their droves. In addition to a continued rise in visitors from Europe, and not just from the UK, we're seeing attendees to the show coming form Eastern Europe, Russia and especially India, which has a huge population, as well as the Americas and Australasia. This interest is creating a sustainable market and our exhibitors are reporting strong demand and most developments selling well", he said. "Our research at the event has shown that in general there seems to be three categories of buyers. Fifty per cent are pure buy-to-let clients, 30 percent are speculators and the remaining 20 per cent are 'end users' who intend keeping the property for their own use whether they are living there or using it regularly for holidays."

"With so many developments coming to market, and property values soaring, sometimes by more than 100%, buyers are becoming more discerning" said O'Herlihy. "This is where Home Owner Dubai provides a valuable service. In simple terms, the event allows buyers to pick their developments and properties carefully in an informed environment".

"At this year' s Home Owner Dubai we have a wide range of exhibitors including A- Technologies, Al Hamra Real Estate, Al Hanoo Holding, Alyasat Pools Trading, Amlak Finance PJSC, Baltic Sea Trading, Barclays Real Estate, Casabella, Choice Group, Continental Real Estate, Dubai Luxury Homes, Dubai Waterfront Properties, EMAAR Properties PJSC, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Al Kharafi Swimming Pools , Landmark Properties LLC, LEADS International Properties LLC, Major Real Estate, MashreqBank, Palma Real Estate, Rakbank, Sherwoods Independent Property Consultants, Tiger Real Estate, Trident Int'l Holdings (The Waterfront), Tulip Biz Developers, Vakson Freehold Properties and a lot more besides." reported O'Herlihy.

"Certainly there will be some surprises form the larger developers and we envisage that those properties available to those wanting to invest in real estate will see heavy demand" commented O'Herlihy. "Exhibitors at previous Home Owner Dubai events have reported massive sales and we are confident that the 2005 event will continue to surpass the success participants have enjoyed previously"
