Key tourism industry officials and decision makers updated on Dubai Light Rail project

The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) updated tourism industry officials on several infrastructure developments currently underway during a presentation held recently at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), Conference Hall.
The presentation, which saw key decision makers from the tourism industry and senior officials from the DTCM in attendance, focused on the progress being made on the AED 14.3 billion Dubai Light Rail project, the city's first rail system for public transportation. When completed, the two-line, 72-kilometer mass transit network will address the city's growing public transport needs.
The presentation was held as a part of DTCM's continuous endeavour to create awareness and promote the different facets of Dubai that go towards creating a comfortable and enjoyable experience for its visitors and residents. The presentation also covered the progress being made on several surface transport infrastructure projects such as the Fourth Interchange, Dubai Airport Tunnel and the new Traffic Management System for Dubai.
