Cico's collects 'Best Restaurant' award

Mr Faeiq Al Zayani, proudly represented Bahrain in Madrid recently at the world's 30th Awards for the Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry, where Cico's Restaurant, Bahrain won international acclaim by being selected as Best Restaurant for 2005.

Over 200 people attended the ceremony where over 80 awards were presented.

On accepting the award, Mr Zayani thanked the international committee members who selected Cico's Bahrain as Best Restaurant 2005, as well as praising the hard working staff of the restaurant. He also paid tribute to the loyal customers of Cico's and promised to maintain the quality and service standards for which the restaurant is so well known.

"I am very proud to have been presented with this award and to be recognised by such a prestigious international group of industry professionals. Bahrain is reknowned for its hospitality and it is such a thrill for the Kingdom to be honoured in this way," said Mr Zayani who opened the restaurant in 1978.

The 30th International Award for Tourist, Hotel and Catering Industry was created by the industry's Publishing House in collaboration with the 'Trade Leaders' Club' to honour and to recognise the most outstanding establishments within this field.

Cico's was the first Italian Restaurant on the island. As well as being known internationally, the restaurant has a reputation for offering consistency of service and a welcoming atmosphere, and enjoys the patronage of top business leaders as well as many of the Bahrain's leading personalities.
