Leading Car Rental Company jazzes it up in February
- United Arab Emirates: Tuesday, February 01 - 2005 at 17:16
- PRESS RELEASE
In a move aimed at strengthening its brand awareness among the cosmopolitan and sophisticated residents of the United Arab Emirates, Thrifty Car Rental has announced that it will be providing official ground transportation for the Third Philips Dubai International Jazz Festival, scheduled for February 2-4 2005 at the Dubai Media City Lake Park.
As sponsors, Thrifty Car Rental will be responsible for transporting these musicians and their instruments from their hotels to the DMC Lake Park throughout the three-day event.
According to organizers, more than 25,000 music enthusiasts are expected to attend the festival, with at least 2,000 jazz fans from England, France, Germany, Italy and Spain, who have already bought season passes, travelling to Dubai.
"The Jazz festival in Dubai has become an internationally prominent showcase of live jazz music performances, attracting a huge crowd from the UAE and abroad. The visibility we get among our target audience as sponsors, combined with the event's high profile, make it the ideal venue to highlight Thrifty's offering in the region," said Rahul Singh, general manager, Thrifty Car Rental, commenting on the decision to sponsor this world-class event.
Added incentives for sponsors and partners include the opportunity to interact with the musicians in a more intimate atmosphere every night at invitation only Jam sessions where they can listen, first-hand, to Jazz improvisations by the masters.
"Chillout Productions has made a significant contribution to promoting jazz excellence in this region, and the eclectic audience who attend our festivals prove that music transcends all boundaries. Our event has grown in scope and size over the years, but still maintains the grassroots ambience that sets it apart," said Anthony Younes, MD, Chillout Productions.
"The Festival remains a successful collaboration between corporate sponsors, jazz enthusiasts, professional artists, local businesses, charities and the general public. This year, we have collaborated with Dubai Aid City to donate proceeds from the Dubai Jazz Festival to Tsunami relief efforts, and we are thankful to all our sponsors, including Thrifty Car Rental, for their support in this endeavour," he added.
One of the fastest-growing organizations within the Dollar Thrifty Middle East franchise network, Thrifty UAE enjoys a superb reputation as one of the region's safest, most reliable and cost-effective car rental companies.
