Jordan Telecom to roll out new services in 2005

Jordan Telecom is to embark on a number of initiatives to drive Internet growth in the Kingdom, including the launch of major innovative services aimed at encouraging the adoption of technology by Jordanian businesses.

Jordan Telecom CEO Laurent Mialet stressed the importance of raising internet penetration in Jordan to expand and strengthen business opportunities and announced that Jordan Telecom Group members will be rolling out new innovative services this year in a bid to enable citizens and businesses make the utmost benefit of the cost savings and new business opportunities that the Internet represents.

"Here in Jordan we see the future for business growth and expansion as rooted firmly in the concepts of connected companies. We can certainly predict a time where there will be no chance for businesses to achieve more growth without using telecom technologies," said Mialet. "The Internet has the potential to open new regional and international markets for Jordanian companies.We're committed to bringing those business benefits to our customers."

New Jordan Telecom Group initiatives to be launched in 2005 will see integrated, managed network services; new online payment services; new access technologies and a strategy of promoting high Internet penetration growth throughout the Kingdom. A number of major roducts are expected to be launched by the company during the first quarter of the year.

Jordan Telecom Group has been transformed into a competitive force at a regional level, becoming a true asset to Jordanians in building their own competitiveness. The solutions and services which will be launched by Jordan Telecom Group are designed to enable businesses achieve further and faster growth. At the same time these solutions will be focusing on convergence of technology where Jordan Telecom expects to make the business world of the customer simpler by relieving them for the burden of managing telecom complexity: mobile fixed and Internet.

About Jordan Telecom
Jordan Telecom, established in 1971, is the provider of Jordan's only fixed line network (Jordan Telecom), an ISP (Wanadoo), a GSM operator (MobileCom) and Internet content delivery services (e-Dimension).
