The Dell® Dim XPS PC - based on the Intel® Pentium® 4 processor with Hyper-Threading Technology 2 - and Insp9200* laptop, and Hewlett-Packard* notebooks - NX7000 and Pavillion DV - with the Intel® CentrinoTM mobile technology were on display for visitors to surf wirelessly, thanks to the wireless infrastructure implemented by VESTA*, enabling users to gather information about the Festival's performers, or simply test the functions and capabilities of the laptops, all at no cost.
The PCs boasted the new mobile platform, formerly codenamed Sonoma; with its consumer-friendly capabilities, the Intel Centrino mobile technology-based laptop is not only a computer and wireless communicator, but also a gaming console, home theatre, MP3 player, and a critical business companion - so where better to showcase these aptitudes, than Dubai's Jazz Festival?
'Seeing that the Centrino mobile technology surpasses business limits with its consumer-orientated qualities, having presence at Dubai's largest Jazz Festival was an ideal location for us to display the upgraded mobile technology,' says Ferhad Patel, Intel's Market Development Manager in the region. Once again, Intel Corporation jazzed up the International Jazz Festival, with its wireless experience zone, this year in the style of a digital home, and gave the musical event's guests to see and feel the digital, unwired lifestyle.
