Arab Health to host largest Regional Healthcare Exhibition to date

25,000 medical professionals and 2,000 exhibitors have confirmed their participation at Arab Health 2005, making it the largest ever healthcare exhibition in the Middle East.
Professionals representing the healthcare industry will converge on Dubai to attend this exhibition of medical products and services. Arab Health 2005 will feature 27 national country pavilions while accommodating exhibitors from over 50 countries. This years exhibition is 30% bigger than Arab Health 2004, which itself was in increase of over 25% on Arab Health 2003. This growth rate is unmatched by any global healthcare event and this years exhibition is expected to register an increase of over 25% on last year's figures.
With the Middle East healthcare market valued at US$74 billion annually, the event has been attracting more and more exhibitors and visitors each year. Over 20,000 visitors attended in 2004 including over 4,400 dealers and distributors.
Now in its 30th year, Arab Health Exhibition and Congress is the largest healthcare event in the Middle East and one of the most important in the world today. Arab Health is supported by The UAE Ministry of Health, Department of Health and Medical Services (DoHMS), and the General Authority for Health Services Abu Dhabi. Dubai Healthcare City is the leading sponsor of Arab Health 2005.
Commenting on the unprecedented scale of the international participation this year, John Hassett, Exhibitions Director, said: "Arab Health 2005 will confirm Dubai as the focal point of healthcare activity in the region where professionals and the medical trade will gather to strike new deals and make new announcements. Key regional and international players will offer the latest developments, showcase advances and demonstrate an extensive range of the latest products and services".
Arab Health will fill all eight halls at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre and will run alongside the Arab Health Congress which is not only the largest series of conference events ever held in the region but also the largest multi tracked healthcare program in the world. The entire congress programme is accredited by the American Academy of Continuous Medical Education (AACME) who offer globally accepted CME credits for medical professionals in attendance.
Dr. Jurgen Friedrich, Head, German-UAE Chamber of Commerce, highlighting the country's presence said, " Germany is proud to be participating again at Arab Health 2005. We represent the largest country pavilion and this will also mark the largest stand presence we have ever had at an exhibition in the world. Germany is proud to have a great relationship with the Middle East and hope to build upon the expansion at this years exhibition."

One of the major highlights at Arab Health 2005 is the Leaders in Healthcare Summit organised in association with Dubai Healthcare City on the 12th of February. This will be held in participation with six of the top healthcare CEO's from the world's leading institutions such as, The Cleveland Clinic, Guys and St Thomas' NHS Trust, Partners Healthcare System Inc., University Hospital Hamburg - Eppendorf, Johns Hopkins International and Harvard Medical International.
