eCompany Al Shamil broadband access service increases email storage to 50 MB and implements new anti spam features for free

eCompany, Etisalat's one-stop e-powerhouse Business Unit that provides Internet services and total e-solutions, today announced new value added features for its high speed Al Shamil broadband access service for home users in terms of increased email storage and Anti Spam protection.

The email quota storage of all existing and new Al Shamil customers would now be increased from 5MB to 50MB.In addition, subscribers would also get the benefits of Brightmail AntiSpam to protect them from the growing spam menace. These new value added features would be provided free of charge to all existing and new Al Shamil subscribers.

The increased email storage quota will allow Al Shamil subscribers to send and receive email with large attachments, more and larger email, avoiding the risk of rejected email.

From an Anti Spam perspective, the Brightmail program stops spam attacks in real time at the internet gateway level. Without compromising accuracy ,it leverages over 20 different filtering technologies, including spam signatures, heuristics and many other proprietary methods to protect subscribers. Comprehensive threat protection also helps consolidate email threat management and monitoring via optional virus scanning and cleaning.

An additional feature is a desktop plug-in for popular email programs which empowers subscribers to take control of their inboxes by specifying approved languages, personal lists of allowed and blocked senders, and other settings .
