CO-OP ISLAMI launches GCC-wide MINIs Promotion

CO-OP ISLAMI, the region's leading producer and retailer of real halal products, today announced the launch of a GCC-wide innovative promotional campaign called 'WIN 5000 MINIs PROMOTION' in partnership with Mini Cooper cars.

The campaign will run from February 15 to the beginning of April 2005.

The promotion provides consumers with the opportunity of wining five fully automatic 2005 model Mini Cooper sports cars and 4995 remote controlled Mini Cooper toy cars and is the largest ever organised by the company throughout the GCC. CO-OP ISLAMI expects this campaign to increase its sales throughout the region by 35 per cent and help maintain its lead in real Halal meat products.

Saleh Abdulla Lootah, Chief Executive Officer, CO-OP ISLAMI, said: "The idea of launching the 'WIN 5000 MINIs PROMOTION' is a result of our intention to provide excitement and value to all our loyal customers in the GCC. We made sure to add new entertainment dimensions to the campaign by choosing a unique and fashionable car, in demand with the region's car fans. We have also provided the large collection of 5,000 cars to give greater opportunity of winning to our customers. By offering five fully-automatic 2005 model Mini sports cars, we will preserve the exclusivity of these cars that combine practical style with sports performance."

CO-OP ISLAMI is known for its innovative promotional campaigns like the Dhs 3 million GCC-wide Golden Egg campaign to spearhead its annual Ramadan Surprises promotion. The campaign offered consumers a collection of 500 golden eggs along with an additional 8,000 valuable gifts and rewards that ranged from household tools to sport bags.

To win prizes in the 'WIN 5000 MINIs PROMOTION', consumers have to buy any of CO-OP ISLAMI 150 products that range from fresh and frozen meat products such as burgers, sausages and sea food to cheeses and vegetables.

Mamoon Al Qaryouti, Sales Manager, CO-OP ISLAMI, said: "Consumers are always at the centre of our attention and the main driving force for investing in such promotional campaigns.
