- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, February 10 - 2005 at 11:49
- PRESS RELEASE
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has said that the RAK Government has asked the World Bank to conduct a comprehensive study on the foreign investment avenues available to the emirate as part of its master development plan.
"We have asked the World Bank to conduct a comprehensive study outlining the competitive factors existing in RAK for attracting foreign investment", Sheikh Saud said.
Elaborating his vision of development, Sheikh Saud said that the Government was committed to provide a congenial atmosphere to attract investment. "The world has become a small village where countries are competing to lure foreign investment. Ras Al Khaimah is striving to get its share by providing a favourable climate for investment", he said.
Sheikh Saud added that the investment climate of the emirate will be characterized by flexible laws and regulations and a pro-investment regulatory frame work.
Earlier, Sheikh Saud opened an exhibition which featured items and mementos made in memory of late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The cultural festival also featured a dance show and a play staged by students.
