Fastlink CEO meets Bill Gates during Microsoft Executive Summit

Fastlink CEO, Mohammad Saqer, met with Microsoft Chairman and Chief Software Architect Bill Gates at the conclusion of the Microsoft Executive Summit for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which took place in Prague with the participation of 100 executives and professionals from international companies in the technology sector.
The Summit, entitled "Innovating for The Future of Business", also tackled the need to increase competitiveness and efficiency as well as to actively respond to changes affecting international markets. Bill Gates, who addressed the meeting, presented his vision for the future of the sector.
Saqer, for his part, said his participation in the Summit was a valuable opportunity to exchange information on latest developments in the technology sector and changes in the ICT market, as well as to evaluate the capability of Middle East companies to stay abreast with these developments.
Saqer said that Fastlink has worked during the past ten years to establish a strong client base, enabling it today to stand as one of the leading mobile companies in Jordan and the Middle East. All this, he added, was possible through the utilization of modern technologies and its continued efforts to satisfy customers with the highest level of services.
Saqer pointed that Fastlink has succeeded in building a reputable standing among regional and international companies as a leader and pioneer in mobile technologies, which also came as a result of its substantial contribution to the Kingdom's telecommunications infrastructure. He added that during a short period of time the sector was able to evolve from offering limited and conventional services to being a provider of highly advanced and modern technologies that meet international standards, all of which has served the economic transformation that the Kingdom is currently undergoing.
Fastlink was the only company that was invited from Jordan as recognition from Microsoft to its role in developing the ICT sector in the Kingdom.
The speakers during the summit which was held first time on 1998 was Jan Muehlfeit Vice President, Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa, Ali Faramawy, Vice president, Microsoft Europe, Middle East and Africa, Kjell Nordstorm, Associate Professor, Institute of International Business, Stockholm,Eric Labaye, Director, Mckinsey& Company, Robert L. McDowell, Vice President, information Worker Business Value, Microsoft Corporation.
