Batelco tees off with championship of the year

Batelco and Awali Golf Club are teaming up for the Batelco Russell Memorial Golf Tournament, which tees off today at the Middle East's first-ever golf course.
"Batelco is delighted to sponsor The Awali Golf Club's 'championship of the year'," says Ahmed Al Janahi, Senior Manager - Corporate Affairs at Batelco. "We have been supporting the Club for more than 10 years as part of the company's commitment to promoting sporting excellence among the communities of Bahrain."
"The tournament is open to all and will make a great 'day out' for golf enthusiasts and families, alike," continues Ahmed. "The players will tee of during the morning and play through until late-afternoon both today and tomorrow with the prize-giving scheduled for 6pm on Friday, 11th February."
The Batelco Russell Memorial Golf Tournament forms part of the company's commitment to sporting excellence within The Kingdom of Bahrain. Other major Batelco sports sponsorships include: The Bahrain National Football Team, the Bahrain Premier League, Bahrain International Circuit, The Bahrain National Basketball Team and League and the Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation, as well as a number of additional golf sponsorships.
