- United Arab Emirates: Saturday, February 12 - 2005 at 09:42
- PRESS RELEASE
United Colors of Benetton's 2005 Spring/Summer Collection has arrived at stores in the UAE, giving shoppers something new to look forward to in the final week of DSF.
"The Spring/Summer Collection takes inspiration from different corners of the globe, and features an attractive mixture of colour, freshness and originality. The launch of the collection during DSF gives shoppers an added advantage - a new collection and great prices," said Ajai Dayal, General Manager, Retail and Marketing, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Group - sole distributor of Benetton apparel in the UAE.
"The 70 per cent DSF discount sale that we just finished, has boosted footfall at our stores. Now, with the launch of the new collection, shoppers have even more reason to visit Benetton," added Dayal.
The women's collection includes a mix of leather jackets, flowing dresses, pleated miniskirts worn with striped blouses and retro corsets, sexy tank tops, cropped biker jackets, cargo pants, and fitted blouses that enhance sensual femininity. The colour schemes include soft hues of blue and pink, pastels, florals, bright orange, denim, and plenty of red and black. Key fabrics are dark and light denim, silk, linen, textured cotton, and silk crepe, perfect for warmer temperatures.
Men have a wide to choose from as well - from low-waist trousers to faded jeans and washed sweatshirts with flashy graphics. Bermuda shorts and tee-shirts are also on sale.
Irresistible colours are a theme throughout the collection, and there are luminous shades of purple, acid green and turquoise, and stripes and floral patterns to choose from.
With an eye on the hot summer months, the kid's collection is comfortable and stylish in bold and basic colours, including red, blue, yellow, green, orange and pink. Mesh bonded jackets, knitted miniskirts, tee-shirts, trousers and funky Bermudas are all part of the new Collection.
"The Spring/Summer Collection features an array of colour, quality fabrics and daring styles. There's something for every occasion, be it a casual day out, a dinner or a fun party," added Dayal.
"Cool and light-hearted, dynamic and creative, colourful and glamorous - the Benetton 2005 Spring/Summer Collection has it all."
